Aapno Taluko Vibrant Taluko- ATVT

In order to empower people to guide the growth process, Government has initiated the concept of ATVT–a sub district citizen centric approach where governance and development is facilitated at the grassroot level. Every taluka in Gujarat will be empowered to provide a local platform for driving double digit growth and social development. It provides a new model of growth based on grass root planning and consent from the people rather than control of the government.

“ Aapno Taluko Vibrant Taluko- (ATVT)” Scheme to provide basic amenities at the village level viz., internal village roads, sewage disposal system, drinking water and solid waste disposal system. One fourth (1/4) of the villages to be taken every year. For this purpose, Government has provided of Rs.37525.00 lakh for the year of 2011-12 and Rs.40325.00 lakh for the year 2012-13. Rs.420.00 Crores For the year of 2013-14, out of which Rs.420.00 Crores has been already disbursed while Rs.18.00 Crores has been kept for the newly earmarked Districts and Talukas.

Government has declared a new policy of Taluka Centric Approach, from the year 2010-11, in which grant allocation is based on the numbers of villages of talukas. In this scheme grant is also distributed on the same line for the year 2011-12, the details of grant distribution is given below:-

  • (A) (i) Grant of Rs.1.00 Crore per annum to the taluka having number of villages up to 50.
  • (A) (ii) Grant of Rs.1.25 Crore per annum to the taluka having 51 to 100 villages
  • (A) (iii) Grant of Rs.1.50 Crore per annum to the taluka having more than 100 villages
  • (B) Rs. 25.00 lakh per taluka for the discretionary outlay of the concerned Prant Officer.
  • (C) Rs. 100.00 lakh per taluka for the 41 developing taluka scheme for the discretionary outlay of the concerned In charge Secretary at the recommendation of the Prant Officer.
  • (D) In this ATVT scheme government has form the ATVT executive committee headed by Prant Officer of the concerned taluka, to work out the felt need works from the guidelines specified for the scheme and Minister in Charge will, approve this works from the above mentioned grant pattern (A).

Aapno Taluko Vibrant Taluko-ATVT Scheme Executive Committee

ATVT Scheme Executive Committee are expected to formulate the proposals looking to the urgent needs of villages within the limit of likely allocation and also to suggest priorities. Taluka Planning Committees are supposed to monitor the progress of works implemented in the taluka by calling meeting every month.
